Producer & Engineer – the recording studio
Beyond composing and arranging, Johnny is also a producer with a dedicated creative space—Wolfy Studios, named after his enormous Maine Coon cat, Wolfy, who oversees all projects.
Wolfy Studios primarily serves as a space to track arrangements before sending them to other studios or artists. However, it’s also a creative hub where full tracks and albums are brought to life from scratch. A recent example is Fe Salomon’s Living Rooms—an album shaped from its very inception.
Unlike conventional recording studios, Wolfy Studios isn’t about simply documenting pre-prepared music—it’s for artists who seek true creative collaboration. Johnny’s process is playful and experimental—what he describes as “playing like puppies,” where every idea, good or bad, is explored.
With a vast collection of unusual instruments—particularly in the realm of percussion—and easy access to a network of skilled musicians, Wolfy Studios offers artists the freedom to discover a sound that is uniquely their own. And when needed, Johnny seamlessly collaborates with more traditional studios to bring projects to their fullest potential.
