Johnny’s string arrangements provide the backdrop for the Little Fictions EP by Danni Nicholls. Nashville based songwriter, Danni Nichols has been described by Q magazine as “smoky soul, folk-pop, and heart-wrenching alt-country, all in a rich voice”, her four-track single showcases Johnny’s ability to enhance and complement the emotional nuance of a song. This four-track single allows listeners to experience Danni’s song and Johnny’s string arrangements in varied contexts, each bringing out different aspects of the composition. The two have collaborated on numerous of Danni’s works over the years.

Danni also spoke in her Listen with Monger, interview. How this collaboration started.
“The epic strings were arranged and recorded by one of my best friends, composer Johnny Parry in the UK. We had been lockdown bubble buddies and used working together on the song as something to look forward to – a light at the end of the tunnel through the hardest days of the pandemic. So, to have finally get to do that and to have had it come out so beautifully is particularly fulfilling.”
