Acclaimed multidisciplinary fine artist Andy Holden & Parry set up experimental music project ‘The Grubby Mitts’ in 2002 and were soon joined by their long term school friends Roger Illingworth, James Macdowell and John Blamey. In which time they released 4 singles an album ‘What The World Needs Now Is’ .
Up until 2017 Parry was principally the drummer, arranger and producer but all members contributed to the construction of the music which centered around interconnecting with Holden’s art practice. Holden and Illingworth continue the project to this day with new members with the second album due to be released late 2024/2025.
